Scholarship Program is New and Improved!

As part of our 75th Anniversary celebration, we are looking at ways to make what we offer our members even better.

This year, college bound members who are High School Seniors will have an opportunity to apply for a $1,000.00 scholarship to help defray tuition or book costs. We’ll be giving away a total of $3,000.00 to three individual winners.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a member who is a high school senior.
  • Applicant must complete a Scholarship Application which includes a written essay.
  • Applicant must be accepted at an institution of higher learning and must provide proof of acceptance.

Time Line:

  • Scholarship applications will be accepted from March 1st through March 31st, 2010.
  • Scholarship recipients will be chosen in mid April 2010.
  • Scholarship funds will be awarded in May, 2010.

To Get Your Scholarship Application

Call us at 610-691-0041, stop by the Credit Union, or click here for a scholarship application form in .pdf format. Completed applications can be mailed or hand delivered to the Credit Union.

What if a student is not a member but would like to apply for a scholarship?

The student can join the credit union and then apply for a scholarship. Joining is easy- simply open an account with as little as $10 to become a member! Normal eligibility requirements apply. A student who is related to a current member, an employee of a Select Employee Group (SEG), or a student who belongs to a Student SEG, such as Bethlehem Catholic High School Student Group, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts Student Group or Bethlehem Area VoTech Student Group is eligible.

Plus, students can take advantage of our popular Student Care Package designed especially for young people who are "getting started" financially. Click here for more information on the Student Care Package bundle of accounts.
