Scholarship Winners 2015


2015 Beth 1st FCU Scholarship Winners

We extend sincere congratulations to our three scholarship winners. The Bethlehem 1st Federal Credit Union has granted a $1000 scholarship to each of the following individuals:

Bethlehem 1st Federal Credit Union has granted a $1000 scholarship to each of these high school seniors:

  • Elaine Fink, of Bethlehem, a Freedom High School senior who will be attending University of Pittsburgh.
  • Caitlyn Kline, of Coopersburg, a Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts senior who will be attending DeSales University.
  • Ryan Lawrence, of Bethlehem, a Freedom High School senior who will be attending Penn State University.

We wish all the winners and applicants success in their academic careers and thereafter.

To b eligible to apply for one of these scholarships, the students had to be one of the following:

  • Related to a current member
  • An employee of a Select Employee Group (SEG)
  • A student had to be a senior at one of the following area high schools:
    • Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech
    • Bethlehem Catholic High School
    • Freedom High School
    • Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts
    • Liberty High School
  • Applicant had to complete a Scholarship Application which included a written essay.
  • Applicant had to be accepted at an institution of higher learning and must provide proof of acceptance.

Scholarship recipients were chosen randomly from the applications that were received by the April 30, 2015 deadline. Only applicants who successfully complied with the scholarship requirements were considered.
