Scholarship Winners 2012

We extend sincere congratulations to our three 2013 scholarship winners. The Bethlehem Teachers Federal Credit Union has granted a $1000 scholarship to each of the following individuals:

Mary Capella of Bethlehem, a Notre Dame High School senior who will be attending Notre Dame University.
Michael Schultz of Allentown, a William Allen High School senior who will be attending Fordham University.
Sis-Obed Torres of Bethlehem, a Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School senior who will be attending Penn State University.

Part of the Scholarship Application requirements included writing an essay on Managing Money as a Student/Young Adult. The essays that we received were incredible. Our young members put a lot of thought into the topic and displayed a true understanding of the importance of managing money, each with a little different perspective.

Applications for the Scholarships were accepted through April 30, 2013. The winners were chosen randomly from submitted applications that met the requirements.

Scholarship Requirements:

Applicant must be a member who is a high school senior.
Applicant must complete a Scholarship Application complete an essay as described on the application.
Applicant must be accepted at an institution of higher learning and must provide proof of acceptance

We wish all the winners and applicants success in their academic careers and thereafter.
