International Banking Services for Members Only


International Banking Services for BTFCU Members. BTFCU now offers its members:

  • International Payments: Make payments in more than 30 foreign currencies. (Click here for a complete list.) These drafts are drawn on banks in those countries for rapid clearance.
  • International Currency: Over 100 foreign currencies are available overnight. Guaranteed delivery to the BTFCU office.
  • Thomas Cook Travelers Cheques for Foreign Currency: There is a $12.00 delivery charge for cheques in foreign currency. (Click here for a complete list of currencies offered.) For cheques in U.S. dollars, Cook also charges 1% of the total value of the checks in addition to the shipping. For that reason, BTFCU recommends American Express Travelers Cheques for domestic travel. There is no charge to members for standard American Express Travelers Cheques through the Credit Union.
